Nepali chelsea Nazma Siebler Shrestha, who is about to achieve three centuries, has started to educate European mothers about the traditional manner in Nepal’s Newar society to massage newborn oils.
Citizens say this technique began by calling his mom Haridevi Shrestha from Nepal for the usual oil massage after her first child was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1979.
He said that when Haridevi attempted to massage the hospital’s first granddaughter Jamuna Maya, the nurses were amazed. There is no rest for the child. The nurse questioned why she would massage. It was only after this that the Swasis felt the babies were massaging only when they were sick or unwell, and I vowed that in the Newari manner I would not identify the Swiss,’ Namja said.
Nazma, who was married to Dr Giovanni Saibler, a Swiss citizen, also taught this technique ’bout’ in different European nations.
